Check the deposit turnover requirements
Every deposit bonus has a turn over requirement, whether it’s 1x or 10x. We’re going to explain how these work.
Online Sports Betting sites use wagering requirements and restrictions in order to protect the bonuses they give away to their punters. Wagering requirements are also referred to as play through requirements which can be found in the bookmakers terms and conditions. A wagering requirement will be displayed with a number and an ‘x’. This means the number of times you have to stake or bet your deposit amount in order for the bonus to be withdrawn or cashed in.
Check the turnover odds
It’s important for you to know the turn over odds so you can fully understand how a deposit bonus works. Every bookmaker has different odds for their deposit bonus. Some are 4/5 or 1/1 etc. You’ll need to make sure your bets odds are higher than the minimum amount set by the bookmaker. Fail to do so and that bet you placed won’t count towards wagering.
Check the withdrawal terms
In order to withdraw your bonus you’ll need to have met the wagering requirements mentioned above. Once you have you will be able to request a withdrawal. Be sure you know if the bonus funds can be withdrawn or if the bonus credits will be removed when you withdraw. This will save you time trying to contact a bookmaker to find out where your extra money / winnings have gone! Fortunately most South African bookmakers use bonus credits that don’t fall away. However there are some that removed the bonus funds, so just be careful.
